Highlights

Discover the nomadic life in Winter, on the occasion of the celebrations held for the Ice Festival and the Eagles Festival.

Day 1 (Feb 29) Arrival in Ulan Bator.

• Arrival at the airport, meeting with us. Transfer to your hotel, settling in, and rest.
• Appointment at 12 o'clock at your hotel with your guide. He will take you to the restaurant of your choice.
• Let's immerse ourselves in the heart of the Mongolian history, in the wonderful National Museum.Walk in the centre of Ulan Bator. Discovery of Chinggis khan square and the House of Parliament.
• Overnight in the hotel. (L+D)

Day 2. ​(March 01) Flight to the Khuvsgul National Park

• In the morning, meet our representative at your hotel lobby. Drive to the airport and we will have a flight to Murun, (Approx. on air 560 km, 1.5 hour & paved road 120 km, 2 hours) Arrival in Murun, meet you guide and  a local driver will take you and will drive to Khuvsgul National Park.
• Overnight at Ger camp in shore of Khuvsgul lake (B+L+D)

Day 3. ​(March 02) Ice festival opening ceremony

• Attend Ice festival opening ceremony, Ice carving competition, Ice Sumo wrestling, Ankle bone shooting, and Shaman Ceremony and National Folklore concert.
• Watch the bonfire, sacrificing a shamanic ceremony. Discover fascinating Tsaatan people's way of life.
• Free hiking by the lakeshore and horse sledding.
• Overnight in Ger camp. (B+L+D) 

Day 4. ​(March 03) Attend the Ice festival and fly back to Ulan Bator

• Watch a marathon of skaters and a horse sled racing on the lake. After lunch, you will be driven back to Murun (Approx. on paved road 120 km, 2 hours, on air 560 km, 1.5 hours) You have opportunity to support locals to buy souvenir shopping.
• Arrival in Ulan bator and overnight in hotel. (B+L+D) 

Day 5. ​(March 04) Visit to Eagle festival

• Breakfast at hotel.
• Drive to "Chinggis khan's khuree" tourist camp. Meet Kazakh ethnic group and an opportunity to see hunter Eagle.
• Attend enjoyable and fascinating festival. Take great pictures. The Kazakh people have an amazing custom and that is they hunt with specially trained eagles.
• Overnight in hotel. (B+L+D) 

Day 6-7 (March 05-06) Visit to nomadic family

• After breakfast, head to the countryside. Visit to nomadic family, Gorkhi-Terelj national park (75 km on-road)
• Spend two days with a local family of the area, to have a good overview of the nomadic way of life and take part in the daily activities of the family.
• Overnights in tent. (B+L+D)

Day 8 (March 07)

• Leave the family, go to the tourist camp.
• Attend the full day horseback riding through the park, which is considered one of the most scenic areas in all of Mongolia and is a short drive outside of the capital.
• Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D)

Day 9 (March 08) Back to Ulan Bator

• Short dog sledding tour.
• After lunch Visit to Turtle Rock, surprising granitic formation.
• Visit to Chinggis khaan statue complex,.
• Overnight in hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 10 (March 09) Departure

• After breakfast, transfer to the airport. The end of the service.

Self-drive: It is possible to drive the car itself during the trip and it will be extra charge.
